Cards
Cards can do almost anything in a game. They can be the main system, a supporting component, or the whole product as a classic deck.
Sunday Games starts with solid cardstock and builds from there. Choose from 20+ stock weights, three core options, and a range of finishes to dial in the shuffle feel, stiffness, and table presence you want.
The goal isn’t “more options.” It’s cards that handle well, read cleanly under light, and still look good after repeated play—so even a standard deck feels like a highlight of the game.

Cards look simple—until they don’t shuffle well, edges start fuzzing, or the finish turns your artwork into a glare factory.
Players may not describe the problem, but they feel it in the first two hands.
Good cards stay readable under light, handle smoothly, and keep their shape after repeated play.
Start with size and shape
Choose the format that matches how the game is played—hand size, table space, and how often players will shuffle and draw. Standard sizes work great, and custom shapes are possible when the design calls for it.
Common pitfalls we help prevent:
Awkward handling: cards too large to fan or too small to read comfortably
Die-cut risk: shapes that snag, tear, or misalign in production
Box fit issues: decks that don’t fit trays, inserts, or standard packaging
Choose the feel: standard vs premium
Material choice changes everything—stiffness, snap, durability, and how the deck behaves when shuffled. Standard options keep things efficient. Premium options give a more substantial hand-feel and better long-term performance for heavy-use games.
Common pitfalls we help prevent:
Warping: cards that curl with humidity or temperature changes
Poor shuffle: stock that feels mushy or too rigid for your game style
Edge wear: whitening and fraying after repeated play
Surface treatment that matches gameplay
Finish isn’t decoration. It affects readability, shuffle speed, scuff resistance, and how quickly a deck shows wear.
Common pitfalls we help prevent:
Glare: overhead light washing out art or icons on glossy surfaces
Sticky shuffle: finishes that don’t slide cleanly in humid conditions
Scuffing: dark backs showing scratches too quickly without the right coating
File review before it becomes a production problem
Send your design files and we’ll check safe zones, bleed, corner radius, border consistency, and alignment—so you don’t discover issues after sampling.
Sample, approve, then scale
We’ll produce custom samples that reflect the real deck: stock, finish, cut, and color. Once approved, we move into mass production.
